Members lukejmit Posted 1 hour ago Members Report Posted 1 hour ago I put iron to leather for the first time about 2 weeks ago. This is my first attempt at cutting leather to equal sizing, and second time sewing two pieces of leather together. I don't have a suitable beveler for the edges so I sanded the edges slightly round. The backstitch is my first attempt at backstitching. The two pieces sit slightly uneven from the stitch. I think when I was punching with my diamond chisels I punched a bit off. My original intent was just to sew two pieces of leather together to practice my stitching, I liked how it was developing so added the short backstitched middle stitch holes before sewing the second side. I cut the thread too short on the long sides and didn't plan in a backstitch. Ending the thread needs a lot of work. Please don't hold back on the critiques. Thank you. Quote
