Members fiserman Posted Saturday at 08:38 PM Members Report Posted Saturday at 08:38 PM I have an Artisan Toro 3000. When I sew forward my knot is properly positioned in center of leather, when I sew backward my knot is on top of leather. 207 thread top and 130 thread bottom. 24 size needle. 8 oz English Bridle. Is this normal or is there an adjustment to correct Issue? Quote
Contributing Member friquant Posted Sunday at 03:51 PM Contributing Member Report Posted Sunday at 03:51 PM I have heard folks on various machines say the tension is different in forward vs reverse. One option is to turn the material around instead of using the reverse feed. Quote friquant. Like a frequent, piquant flyer. Check out my blog: Choosing a Motor for your Industrial Sewing Machine
MikeG Posted Sunday at 09:44 PM Report Posted Sunday at 09:44 PM I recently had the opposite issue - in reverse, I got horrible looping on the bobbin side. I was told to my needle was too small. A larger needle corrected the issue. Perhaps in your case try going to a smaller needle and see how this affects your stitch. Quote
