Members JLD Posted February 8, 2009 Members Report Posted February 8, 2009 Hi, Some help please. I have decided that my stitching needs some serious practice so I decided to make a roper stlye breast collar for my own use. That way only my horse get embarassed (apart from me) at the stitching and I thought the long runs of stitching would make perfect practice. My problem is that I have a full size breast collar which just about gives one of my regular size horses (Quarter Horse) a wedgie (between his front legs) if I put it on him. So I had a bright idea of buying a full size roper style breast collar from the USA (I am an Aussie) well this arrived and apart from longer connector straps actually is smaller that the first one I had. Can someone give me some sizes for the breast straps so they dont look like I am trying the squeeze my horses into miniature gear. please. Johanne Quote
Members Double U Leather Posted February 8, 2009 Members Report Posted February 8, 2009 If it were me, I'd probably measure the horse (center of chest to end of D). Then allow for the D ring and the center ring. That way you can make your breast collar fit exactly how you want it, and to fit your horse perfectly. Quote
