mliebs8 Posted March 2, 2008 Report Posted March 2, 2008 I've been using Neat Lac to finish my holsters and the finish always turns out nice, but I wanted to start using Resolene so I bought some the other day. After spraying the Resolene it doesn't seem as slick as the Neat Lac, the finish looks good but it almost feels a little tacky. Is this normal? I didn't thin the Resolene at all if that matters and they are both being applied with an air brush. Quote
TracyMoss Posted March 2, 2008 Report Posted March 2, 2008 I have never liked resolene, I always use either Tan-Kote, Lac Kote, or Bag Kote. I had the same problem after someone told me to use it years ago. Nearly ruined my project. I have tried brushing it on, and I have sprayed it on. I didn't like it at all. Maybe someone else has better advice on how to use it, but I willl neve use it again. Quote
Members Srigs Posted March 15, 2008 Members Report Posted March 15, 2008 I take Resolene and cut it in half with water. I actually dip my holsters to seal inside and out. I hope that helps. Quote
