Members Twosons Posted March 7, 2009 Members Report Posted March 7, 2009 Tandy emailed me instructions on how to sharpen an edge beveler today. Thought someone might find it useful. http://www.tandyleatherfactory.com/media/d...velerHow-To.pdf Quote
Members oldtimer Posted March 7, 2009 Members Report Posted March 7, 2009 It is a page from Al Stohlman´s book, Leather tools, how to use them, how to sharpen them. Quote
HorsehairBraider Posted March 7, 2009 Report Posted March 7, 2009 It's very useful, thank you. And thanks for saying where it's from, Oldtimer - maybe I should get that book! Quote
Members Twosons Posted March 7, 2009 Author Members Report Posted March 7, 2009 Just a note to avoid any confusion. The link is to Tandy's website. Quote
Members TrooperChuck Posted March 7, 2009 Members Report Posted March 7, 2009 HorsehairBraider: If you don't have that book I would encourage you to get it. It's less than 100 pages, but it's got more information about leatherworking tools than any other book I've seen. Every page is full of illustrations (I need lots of pictures, believe me!), most of them drawn by Al Stohlman. If I could buy only one book on leathercrafting, it would be this one. It doesn't tell you HOW to make things, but if you know how to use the tools properly your imagination can take over from there. Quote
