hey guys and gals got to playing tonight with a tracing of a wild iris thinking maybe i could use it for a bible cover some day i had some scrap skirting leather so i went to work LOL

well here are 2 pics while i was working after the carving and after partial beveling and backgrounding

2 more pics beveling all done and i came to the conclusion i need a bigger backgrounder so ill make one tonight anf the second pic is of the partial pear shading

Those Iris's are very nice indeed. I did some,myself need to find them, and I will post. I would like to Azeleas soon and set them up as a belt pattern.

That's looking good so far! I think the iris is an interesting subject to carve. Here's one I did. The pattern came out of Lora Irish's Great Book of Floral Patterns.
