I guess I'm drawn more to modern things, so in general I have not liked much of the tooling I've seen. I don't know why you don't see more of this older technique applied to more modern patterns. I think you're on to something here. My favorite side of this book cover is the one with the multiple dots. I think it is cool and unique. The more geometric side I don't love as much.
