Need help with pattern

Hi,

I'm in need of a pattern or pointed in the right direction with propper measurements for a briefcase I need to make for my nephews that are graduating from college this fall. What I'm looking to make them is a two compartment design for thier laptop & mics. Any ideas or patterns are welcome as this will be my first time at something like this.

I am making one right now that I found in Al Stohlman cases book number #2 (Green one). They are available on Ebay or Tandy's if you have nearby. Every type of case you would be looking for. I made the attache case modified of course to the specs of the customer. I ended up using Chan Geer's Sheridan corner design to make my own design for this case.
