Members tterrapin Posted December 24, 2009 Members Report Posted December 24, 2009 (edited) We recently purchased a brand new Cobra 3 machine. Just finished watching the video and have successfully sewn test pieces. What we mainly purchased the machine for is sewing custom dog leashes. Basedon what was said in the video I am pretty sure that we need to use theslotted plate for stitching these thin 1/4" straps (leashes). We have found that the top stitching looks fine but the bottom tensionis a bit too tight. I'm guessing that we are going to need to loosenthe bobbin tension. I wish the manual showed images stitching with the tensiontoo loose and too tight. I've also noticed that the foot is leaving marks on the upper side of the leather. There is also marks being left on the bottom side of the leather. I'm guessing we need to make some more adjustments. Thanks Cheryl Edited December 24, 2009 by tterrapin Quote

Thanks Cheryl Hi Cheryl, loosen the top tensions (both) 1/2 turn each until the stitch is correct. Turn the large round adjusting screw counter clock wise 1 full turn to take some pressure of of the foot. If you still have a problem, please call me at 1-866-962-9880 and I will walk you through it.
