Recommended Posts

Okay is there anyway to get a blood stain out of veggi-tanned leather?

It is a secret, and you have to tell the story of how the blood got there in the first place. If it was your own blood, welcome to the club.

Hyrogen peroxide has helped some, as has washing with diluted oxalic acid. I haven't ever got one to totally clear. I usually dyed a rust color and the blood never showed up. On my worst draw gauge injury, I told the customer I had a lot of blood, sweat, and tears in his strap. I wasn't kidding.

Not my blood (thankfully) it is a customers blood. She didn't exactly tell me the whole story but something about a spur, a cut on her knee, and the knee in the seat. Anyway, I told her I would try.

Red dye all over the project, might cover it?

Just kidding, Mr. Bruce is on the money with the OXA. Good luck.
