Hi folks glad i found this forum (the best thing that happened to my leatherwork) my name is Steve Shaw (Big Steve) i live in Nottingham area, the heart of Robin Hood land about half an hour from Sherwood Forrest, i have been tooling leather for 10 years on and off and am self taught with the aid of a few Al Stolman books, i do a wide range of projects and run a Motorcycle Paintshop for a living, i ride a 1969 Harley Electra glide that i have restored and is a rolling advert for my work, i have a web site that has my work on it if anyone cares to have a look, any feedback would be most welcome good or bad it is www.bigsteves.co.uk I hope to continue learning from you guys, the only thing i can complain about this forum is its to adictive!!!!! i spend far to much time on these pages, a mine of information and advice and many thanks to all who contribute, when iwork out how to upload pictures (i dont do well with computers) i will do my bit as well.

Mokosh, thanks for looking, the reaper was even better before it was dyed black, the Deuce seat was fun to do, it took 2 days just to make the tools as they are the exact size of playing cards,

after tooling i layed some steel mesh onto the cards to imprint a linnen effect as in expensive playing cards, it took ages to convince the customer that they were not real, sadley the bike was stolen

and never recovered.
