Members gunter Posted May 13, 2010 Members Report Posted May 13, 2010 Hey fellow crafters, I've been working with leather for several years now and made and mended lots of stuff, yet there's still things I learn about everyday. A friend of mine wants a leather SASS belt with sewn on bulletloops for .38 , .45 and .45-70gov. bullets. Now this I never done and went to look in my books that I have, but for some reason I can't figure the complete belt ou.... . Is there an universal way to calculate the total length and amount of loops that I will need depending on the bullets. the way I used to make these belt was easier, I find, I calculated the bullets/length of the beltn measured the distances, punched loopholes with a o-blong punch and started to weave the loops. Do I have to work to same way for this job? any explination of an experienced fellowcrafter would sure help. cheers, Gunter Quote Once I moved about like the wind, but now I surrender.(Geronimo) Failure is always an option
