Many of you have inspired me. Any feedback would be appreciated. Thank you. Bryan
King's X Report post Posted June 17, 2010 I really like how that pearshader work turns a background into a nice touch! I do have a question.....what did you use for a resist? I have seen that look before! Otherwise, she should be very proud of it. God bless

First I wait until the leather is almost dry after tooling, and I burnish with canvas. Next I apply pure neatsfoot oil, and let that dry for about 30-45 minutes. I let that dry, and burnish again with the canvas. Finally I apply Tankote with wool, and let that dry. and buff with fresh wool. I usually use a product called Drake X1 Leather dressing between the oil step, and the Tankote. I use this instead on an antique step. My wife wanted something a little lighter, so I omitted the X1.
