Members Leatherman42z Posted July 4, 2010 Members Report Posted July 4, 2010 Hi All, I'm kinda new to all this (first lesson in Feb.'10) but I have the bug REAL BAD! My question is concerning a Buscadero gun belt. I'm making a 3" belt, I got the curve from tracing my own worn belt, and I know where i want the Holsters to hang; what I don't know is how much extra is the drop (i'm guessing another 2") and the dimensions of the slot (thickness & width) and where in the drop do you suggest placing the slot. My best guess is an additional 2" added to make the drop. Measured from the bottom of the rest of the belt, i was going to go downward 3/4", make a 1/2" slot, leaving another 3/4". and my first guess was that the slot should be 6" long, but that seems excessive. ANY advice or help would be GREATLY appreciated. THANX (Man, I love this stuff and this site is a real Blessing) Quote

Hey Doc, Thanx for answering, and I'm sure you meant Will Ghormley, (who, in my humble opinion, is truly a Master Craftsman). I'll check his sight again. I've studied his site, especially the 3:10 to Yuma holster tutorial. I like how he "aged" the leather. Great Info. Quote
