Aulus Report post Posted July 19, 2010 Hello All! I´ve read in the Stolman book of sewing leather and here in one of my topics that I should never sew across the leather because it will weaken it. Ok, this makes sense but what is about dog collars where the D-Ring must be fittet? Please look at the Link below and tell me what you think. I´ve made a collar for my Labrador like the one in the link and since then I wait for "the break" Dog Collar Have you any Idea how to fasten the D-Ring without sewing across? Kevin Report post Posted July 20, 2010 If you are machine sewing, just sew up to the ring and backstitch a few stitches and stop. Start again beyond the other side of the ring, backstitch a few stitches and go on around until you get to the ring again and repeat.
