It gives it a nice symmetrical look. I use to stop the stitch groove at the stitching. I noticed a couple people on this forum that took the groove all the way around and I thought it looked pretty good that way. Since then I've done 3 holsters that way, it makes it easier to groove it like that and it adds that symmetrical look. Quote

The only nit-picky thing I have would be to square off the muzzle and have it flush, but like I said, it's just a nitpicking thing on my end. My personal preference is to have the muzzle tucked up in just a little to help protect the muzzle and to have a smooth rounded leather edge on the backside that rides against my hip bone. I'm making a second one for a fella that wants to "give mine a try" and he specificaly asked me to leave the leather about 1/4" past the muzzle and round it around it (muzzle), for added protection.
