Hilly Posted October 4, 2010 Report Posted October 4, 2010 Ive been trying to figure out how to make the holes under the leaf ridges... tried a seeder nope . Is there a special tool? You can use a lifter from Barry King Tools (6th row down, center photo). Well worth the money. Quote
dirtclod Posted October 5, 2010 Report Posted October 5, 2010 Here's a link showing one used. I made a couple out of scracth awls if you don't to buy one. Cut your awl on angle and the use a whet stone to smooth it up then polis it on a buffing wheel. http://leatherworker.net/forum/index.php?showtopic=9037&hl=clayb&st=0 Quote I'm old enough to know that i don't know everything.
King's X Posted October 5, 2010 Report Posted October 5, 2010 The tool is a petal lifter or lifter. Tandy has one that is a bit cheaper, but it will require some sharpening. Barry King does sell them, but at a higher cost depending on your level of crafting. I have a set of custom one that were made by Big Papa Leather on this forum! They are extremely sharp! Good luck.
