Members twiggy Posted October 5, 2010 Members Report Posted October 5, 2010 i would like to make a holster for a pair of side cutters, because i use them alot in a day and im always misplacing them. so i want them on my side. how would i go about making a pattern? so i don't waste leather. i want it to be two pieces sewn together the wet form the top piece for a snug fit. thanks in advance. dirtclod Posted October 5, 2010 Report Posted October 5, 2010 Lay the pliers on a piece of poster board trace around them. Then add 3/8 to 1/2 around the traced line and enough to fold over for a flap in the back for your belt to go through. Measure how far up you want the pocket to be and cut a piece of leather 2 to 3 inches wider wet mold it over the pliers tack down let dry and glue and sew both piece togeather.
