JohnsCustomLeather Posted January 13, 2008 Report Posted January 13, 2008 (edited) Here Are 2 of our creations from sometime last year. The one with Black is mine and the other is Dad's. We were playing around with overlaying scraps we had from boots. Dad's Has more forward tilt then mine, personal preference. They are both Paddle holsters, no belt necessary just a snug waist band. Members Spencer G Posted January 13, 2008 Members Report Posted January 13, 2008 Those look very nice. It appears that the top tension is a bit tight on your sewing machine, or the bobbin tension is too loose. I'm no expert (not even close), but that's how it seems. Other than that, great work. Quote
JohnsCustomLeather Posted January 13, 2008 Author Report Posted January 13, 2008 Just how it looks in the photo, There is a bit of a reflection with the finish on the holster. The stitch is set in the middle of the Layers. This was sewn on a Landis 16, Harness Machine, what we sew all of our holsters on. Quote
Randyc Posted January 13, 2008 Report Posted January 13, 2008 John, Nice work on your holsters. I like your overlay work. Did you skive your overlay edges to smooth them out? Randy Quote
