Members Ellen Posted November 14, 2010 Members Report Posted November 14, 2010 How do you work around problem of using smelly leather dyes in apartment settings, with neighbors in closest proximity? Mind the norther climate with winters, so no holes in the wall for ventilation I prefer using Fiebings Pro-Oil, as a last resort Fiebings spirit dyes, and can't make Eco-Flo work without bleeding without Neat Lac/ Saddle Lac, which smells a lot by itself. No chances? What do you think? Quote
Contributing Member TwinOaks Posted November 14, 2010 Contributing Member Report Posted November 14, 2010 Set up some kind of fume hood leading to a filter w/ activated charcoal. It doesn't need to be all that large, but should have a decent amount of air flow (CFM rating). Something like a bathroom exhaust fan should be plenty as long as you have a good filter on it, and it's relatively quiet. You don't necessarily have to exhaust to the outside either....just have a filter to capture the VOCs and recirculate back to the room. Quote

If anybody knows other options too, post them too, please. Quote
