Members Darkbeer Posted November 14, 2010 Members Report Posted November 14, 2010 I get about one project a weekend done due to driving truck for a living and being gone all week. I happened to win a piece of Goatskin from Siegal of California a few weeks back, was one of the first seven callers. They mentioned using Goatskin for drum heads so I decided to make a drum. I am no artist so please excuse the rough painting but I am pleased with it. It has a very loud and deep sound to it so it will give the grandkids something to bang on when they come over. Tim Quote
Members moeg Posted November 15, 2010 Members Report Posted November 15, 2010 Hi Tim, that drum looks good, and the painting is a whole lot better than anything I could do. Did you buy the hoop or make it yourself? Moe. Quote

I did not think I could make the frame and I did not want to waste the skin. Quote
