Ellen Report post Posted November 15, 2010 (edited) What kind of clamps are you using for gluing of the small items? Bull-dog clips covered with suede as Valerie Michaels does, hardware store plastic clamps and paper towels as I do, or something else? Where do you store them within easy reach? Clipping them in line on the wall in front of you, or in drawers? For gluing several items at time it takes 2 drawers for me, and plus specialized clamps, for larger items and remote areas on the item (long nosed clamps). Major space-eaters. Better ideas? Thanks. azrider Report post Posted November 15, 2010 I use mostly binder clips that my work was going to throw away. I have about four different sizes, and can glue several thicknesses of leather together.
Strmchsr Report post Posted November 21, 2010 I like the 1" Bessey spring clamps. I found them at Lowes for a buck a piece.
TwinOaks Report post Posted November 21, 2010 Depending on the application, a lot of the time I use clothes pins- the spring variety. I suppose there's also a bit of importance on the type glue you use as well. I use the weldwood contact cement on most things. I clip them on a coat hanger, and just hang it somewhere out of the way.
