I wanna make something like this for my gf?

have a few qn? Is there anything underneath the slot to support the cards?

Also, how do they link the outer layer onto the slot area? As i can't really see the stitching over.

Do help if you know briefly how to do this! THANKS!

Do a search on this website for "biker wallet", and then click on the "how do I do that" forum and look for the tutorial by Kevin King. He takes you step by step through the production process. The thread on the biker/trucker wallet includes a pattern similar to the one you have pictured.

I think he took it down!!! The problem with my wallets are the pockets. from the side, i can see that there are several layers. How do they actually do it?

Aspanol, the edges are hidden with a wrapped edge, sometimes called a French edge, which is demonstrated in the tutorial I so woefully neglected to link.
