vandy Report post Posted December 14, 2010 Hi, I've been trying to duplicate the gulf knot Ron Edwards demonstrates in his Bushcraft 8 book, but something isn't quite right. Any suggestions/ideas? The knot won't lie straight - see pictures - and seems too bulky. I haven't had any luck finding additional tutorials/info for this knot. The scrap I'm practicing with is 5-6 oz if that matters. dirtclod Report post Posted December 14, 2010 Sense your just trying it out. You might try getting the leather damp and hit / tap it with a smooth faced hammer and see if that helps on it laying the way you want. Might work and it might not. Quote Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
