MasterLeatherCraftsman Report post Posted December 21, 2010 Hello, I live in Sugarland Tx, and I have been trying to find Trade Shows in Texas, Art's & Crafts (HAND MADE ONLY), it seems to me that every time I go to an Art's & Crafts Show there seems to be ALOT of people (crafters) there that have bought goods from somewhere else and reselling them, just like a regular flea mkt. Does any one here know of a Trade Show for Art's & Craft's ( HAND MADE ONLY ) by the person selling the item??? Thank You for all information provided. MERRY CHRISTMAS & A HAPPY NEW YEAR

bootsmt Report post Posted December 22, 2010 Just search the internet for arts and crafts shows and some will come up and you pick. Try the source book, it may come up when you do your search. The book has hand made shows around the country. type in source book and it should come up. This market in Wimberly is more like a regular flea mkt. I have been there, they have new & used clothing, etc. Thanks anyway.
JJLeatherworks Report post Posted December 23, 2010 (edited) If Wimberly Doesn't suit you, try a juried show such as Gruene Market days. If you are good enough for the jury to pass you they MIGHT rent you a spot; very limited number. Passing the judgement of a jury takes the ego out of ones ability. Only items made by the craftsman are allowed at this show. Let your fingers do the walking and search the internet, I'm sure you will find a show to your liking. Oh by the way, Wimberly only has a handful of day traders. the booths are OWNED by the vendor. The Lions Club that runs the Market Days are getting better at screening what is sold. This market in Wimberly is more like a regular flea mkt. I have been there, they have new & used clothing, etc. Thanks anyway.
