i just finished a 45 inch leather fly rod case for a client in Utah. I stamped the using a geometic design patten as a border around the edge of the case. I then stained the case using Tandy's Eco-Flo All in One stains ( Fudge Brown for the dark color and Prairie Tan for the lighter color). I attached all the hardware i needed for the straps and then assembled the top and bottom cap using the saddle stich method of sewing to complete the case. i then conditioned and waterproofed the case using Fiebings Aussie Leather Conditioner which contains Beeswax.
