Members NewYorkerInSydney Posted February 13, 2011 Members Report Posted February 13, 2011 Hello everyone, I would like to know where I may find 4-5 oz vegetable tanned leather that is as close to white or pale as you can get? I don't really like the pink of certain veg tanned leathers and I think the really light (white) leathers dye best for me. Any suggestions? Thank you so much, NYIS Quote
Members Gawdzilla Posted February 13, 2011 Members Report Posted February 13, 2011 The owner of the local Tandy suggested I try "Wedding White" for a project I'm doing. I'll keep you informed. Dyeing should start Thursday on that project. Quote

Members cem Posted February 22, 2011 Members Report Posted February 22, 2011 If you want to buy in Oz, NSW leather has some pretty light veg tan leather http://www.nswleather.com.au/ I bought some 5oz from their Perth agent so they should have some as well. It's not bone white more like an ivory but was alot lighter than most veg tan leathers. They do a few cuts double shoulders, sides and backs and their prices are pretty good I buy the Torino range and have been quite happy with it for use on lighter coloured work. Cheers, Clair Quote
