jehuty Report post Posted March 2, 2011 (edited) I'm thinking of working with garment leather (probably lambskin) to make small clothing items for myself. Most of them come between 1oz to 2oz. I don't have a sewing machine at the moment, so I'm currently intending to hand sew all of it. I'll be getting the Hand Stitching Kit from Tandy's just to get started, but I'm worried it can only be used for thicker leathers. Will it still work for thinner ones? Is there anything in particular I need to look out for when working with thinner leathers? The last thing I want to do is have a tool (unintentionally) rip through the leather.
