Members jlaudio29 Posted March 4, 2011 Members Report Posted March 4, 2011 So I tried out some Satin Sheen on this holster and didnt like it very much, so i went back to the super sheen, Is there a way to cut the super sheen so it gets me more of a Semi-gloss? I dont remeber seeing any Eco flo semi-gloss sheen? This should be my last holster that will have the dye brushed on, I got my airbrush in the mail and tested it out tonight on some scraps... man does it lay the dye down smooth! I started getting a little creative with the swivel knife on the support peices. Thanks for looking. Quote
Members marine mp Posted March 4, 2011 Members Report Posted March 4, 2011 You can rub some Kiwi Neutral Shoe polish on it and buff it off. Should be good to go. I really don't know about the other satin "Sheens" I use Resolene 50/50 on all my holsters. But....other than the shiny part, you did a bang-up job on the holster. Semper-fi MIke Quote

Members Shooter McGavin Posted March 5, 2011 Members Report Posted March 5, 2011 I've taken to mixing 2 parts water/ 1 part satin sheen/ 1 part super sheen. Comes out with the right glossiness IMO. Quote
