Members Shooter McGavin Posted March 16, 2011 Members Report Posted March 16, 2011 I was wondering if anyone has ever applied satin sheen over saddle lac. I needed a spray finish for a piece I was working on so I ised the saddle lac, but I'm not sure if it is water resistant like satin sheen. Thanks! Quote

Saddle lac, like neat lac, like clear lac, is a lacquer based finish & much more impervious to water over time than an acrylic (satin shene), or water based finish . Quote

Thats great news! Thank you. I scoured the Fiebings website and they make no mention of the water resistance abilities of this product. Cheers! Quote
