Any suggestions on a reasonably priced lining leather that burnishes well?I like how stitches pull up into chap leather, but it's hard to get a nice edge on it.I'll be lining mostly strap goods and tack.

For thin liners, like wallets, etc., try 2oz calf. For holsters/belts I use 5/6 vegtan. For tack, you might see if one of the suppliers will split bridle leather for you.
