Members Viking Queen Posted April 16, 2011 Members Report Posted April 16, 2011 Hello, folks! I need a little help. I have acquired a lovely Coach bag which I intend to use as a range bag rather than a handbag. It is rather a cross between a messenger bag and a satchel in style. It is a carmel color and the leather is a naked leather type finish common to all Coach bags. From past experience I know that this type of leather can and will stain from water and other liquids. I would like to apply a better finish so that it is more impervious to rain, snow, etc. What would you all recomend and do I need to clean off the bag before applying new finish? The bag appears to have been barely used at all. I also don't mind if the color darkens or changes slightly. This is a great thrift store find and although I paid less than $10 for the bag I don't want to use the wrong something that will totally ruin the look of the leather. What suggestions do you all have?? Thanks ever so much - Viking Queen Quote
