I started leatherwork as a teenager, and stopped once I got married. However, our younger son is getting married in a year, to a young lady, whose hobby is western riding. So as a clandestine wedding present, I want to make them a miniature western saddle lampstand. and realised that after 30 years being away from this field, I'm out of my depth. So that's why I'm here. To rekindle a hobby and pick a few brains along the way. And I'm not telling anyone that I'm doing this, so that if it's a resounding failure, :poofan: no-one will know that I lost the plot. Quote

There are other folks from your part of the world on here, so I am sure if you have any trouble locating materials, etc, someone should be able to chime in to help out.
