I've been bitten by the leather bug and have just brought the tandy starter kit. i'll probably be back here soon asking lots of questions!

P.S how to you hold a swivel knife, do you hold the blade flat against the work or just use one corner?

Hi james, welcome.

I'm not the expert around here, but you hold it 90 + degrees to the leather, and use a corner point only.

There is no way you can do curves trying to cut with the whole blade.

Others might have variations on this theme...
