These are my latest Bruce Nelson / Summer Special style holsters. I now understand why this is such a popular holster. It is an extremely comfortable way to carry a full size 1911.

This one has a sweat shield and a metal reinforced opening.

This one has a slightly higher opening. It sits a little lower in the waist.

This one is smooth side out and more forward cant.

Nice work. Mind sharing how you did your sight tunnel on those?

The stitched in sight channel is nothing more than a thin strip of leather, much like you'd use for a welt in a knife sheath, but sewn in a straight line. One on each side of the slide provides a bearing surface for the slide to ride against without snagging the front sight.

Those are some very, VERY nice holsters!

I do, however, see that the magical shifting sweat shield has claimed yet another victim.....LoL

It took me awhile to learn to factor that in. Same thing with shifting the rear belt slot down about 1/4" on Avengers.

The first one I did was way off. I tried the one with the higher snaps location to see if I would like it riding lower in the waist band. It didn't make that much difference. The smooth side out one has a little too much forward cant and I probably won't use that pattern again.
