Members Ropinkountz Posted July 18, 2011 Members Report Posted July 18, 2011 Did my first rawhide hornwrap instead of using 'mulehide', thought that everything looked good until I checked it out the next day. the rawhide dried with several loops not as tight and actually loose. Soaked and skived the rawhide to a manageable thickness. used a homemade 'chinaman' to tighten. am i missing a step or should I not have used the rawhide. Now its a pain to re-wet and start over since it is now on the horn. Any suggestions are welcomed. Quote
