Dwing8 Report post Posted October 28, 2011 Hi, I'm new here and have really had a great time looking at other peoples work. This got me interested in learning to braid so I bought Bruce Grant's Encyclopedia and have been practicing a few things. I am at the present working on braided hobbles pg. 350 using some old line I had laying around because it's size helps me see it better. As instructed I started of with the 8 strand braid pg.126 Plate 47 and I'm having a hard time bringing the 2 ends together in fig.3 pg.351. The problem is the beginning end doesn't look anything like the ending end like it does in the book. I'm attaching 2 pics to show what it looks like and hoping for any advice.....I can't comprehend braiding backwards yet. Thanks! Dano
