Members cjswim Posted June 16, 2008 Members Report Posted June 16, 2008 I am a novice and was attracted to the idea of braiding my own lanyard for my dog wistle. That being said, I am trying my hand at a herring bone braid that seems to be working out okay. I am hung up on doing the slide knot for the lanyard, however. Can anyone direct me to a good source for instruction on how to accomplish this? Quote
HorsehairBraider Posted June 16, 2008 Report Posted June 16, 2008 Here's a site that has some tutorials on knot tying: Knot Heads World Wide And of course there is the "bible" of knot tying, The Ashley Book of Knots by Clifford W. Ashley, which I think is available on Amazon. That's got every knot you could think of and some you never dreamed existed! Quote They say princes learn no art truly, but the art of horsemanship. The reason is, the brave beast is no flatterer. He will throw a prince as soon as his groom. - Ben Jonson http://www.beautiful-horses.com
