Members LeatherLori Posted December 6, 2011 Members Report Posted December 6, 2011 I'm looking for the proper way to attach the metal belt tips to leather belts. I've done a couple so far...1st one came out find, but on the next one, the screws tops broke off. Do I have to pre-drill a whole first, do I use lock tight, if the screw doesn't screw down all the way ~ do I use a file to gently file it off smooth? Are the screws suppost to be screwed down all the way? Do I apply glue prior to pushing on the tip? Would like to see a video or get step by step instructions, if anyone could help ~ it would be greatly appreciated! Thank you in advance....Lori Quote
Phatdaddy Posted December 6, 2011 Report Posted December 6, 2011 The ones that I have used the screws only had slots, no head, and were easily screwed down just past flush and haven't had any issue with them backing out with a little blue loctite. Kevin Quote
