Members Suicide Posted January 15, 2012 Members Report Posted January 15, 2012 Hi everybody, I need to put together 2 pieces of 4 oz buffalo (quite soft) using lacing. The hem should be either like on the fisrt picture attached or like on the second one. The first type is preffered. So far I have tried mexican round , spanish double loop and applique stitches but all os them gives me wrong connection type - both edges are going up and form kinda ridge and this is not what my customer wants. Can you please suggest on what the braiding should I use to get the proper results? Thanks in advance! Quote

I've done number two before but I cut a strip of goat 1" wide and glued it to the back side before /i punched the holes for the lace. It really helped a lot and kept the ends of each piece matched up and I was able to pull the lace good and snug as I went. In the tutorials Beaverslayer showed making a vest this way but he used a really nice lace technique I liked. It's in the Gallery section under tutorials and lessons.
