Members Butch Posted January 22, 2012 Members Report Posted January 22, 2012 Here's a Christmas present I made for a friends husband's Colt .45. I lined it with brown sheepskin to keep it from wearing the saddle. Butch Quote
wizard of tragacanth Posted January 22, 2012 Report Posted January 22, 2012 (edited) That's very interesting. I might make one of these for the shift lever in my car! Just kidding. Thanks for sharing that. I had never seen a pommel holster before. I know there is a thread pinned to the top of this forum on pommel holster design but there is not one picture of a completed pommel holster in it. When I was young, I used to ride English, oops, where does this pommel holster go! Just kidding... again. I have been on a Western saddle or two, as well. Nice work. Members Bob A Posted January 22, 2012 Members Report Posted January 22, 2012 Nice holster. What type of stitching is that, it's something new to me? Quote
Members Butch Posted January 22, 2012 Author Members Report Posted January 22, 2012 Thanks guys. Bob, That stitch is a stair step applique. It's mainly used with leather thongs in braiding, but I started using it as my main stitch. Butch Quote
