DanTheMan Report post Posted January 30, 2012 I have been reading these forums for awhile and finally decided to make my first post. I am looking for suppliers that sell leather shoulders in small quantities. I found Texas Knifemaker's Supply and it appears that they sell buy the sq. ft. The other places I have found sell in 10 plus sq. ft. All the pro's say don't go cheap on the leather so I'd like to find something decent for a couple of sheaths I am going to attempt. Thanks in advance for any info.

Thanks in advance for any info. I end up buying the tooling shoulders at Tandy most of the time. They are generally 7-8 oz and in the $25-$40 range, depending on the sale they are having, for enough leather for me to do most of the small projects I do. I don't know if it is the highest quality leather but for a novice such as myself, it works well. I still cringe at buying 15-20 sq ft of leather when I only need a few to continue learning. Denster Report post Posted January 30, 2012 Thanks for that link. Their leather and tools have good pricing. Springfield leather is a good place to do business. I'd suggest Hermann Oak leather. They will cut the amount you wish to purchase.
