Members Diskretion Posted February 8, 2012 Members Report Posted February 8, 2012 Hello from Montreal! I have just decided to plunge into the world of leatherworking! I'd been thinking about it for years but for one reason or another... I never got around to it. Then last month, after shopping for a dog collar, I decided that maybe I could make my own - instead of buying a cheap leather imitation! Well, a trip to the local Tandy Leather Factory and a few hundred dollars later, here I am. Started off by making a small tooled wallet... this was a good way to play with the tools and to gain understanding of how this work. Now, however, I want to make something more to my taste. I am full of ideas but I hit so many walls along the way... simple things set me back...simply for lack of experience and knowledge. A big THANK YOU to all who take the time to post on this forum - your trick of the trade, experience and advice is a total life line for newbies like myself. Well, wish me luck everyone - I think this is going to be a GREAT hobby and who knows where it will lead! Quote
