Jvk Report post Posted February 12, 2012 This is an older, round skirt saddle with rawhide cantle, stirrups and wrapped horn. It is, I believe, a barrel saddle. Stamped, "Hereford brand tex tan yoakum." I've scoured the web, but can't even find another saddle like it. I'd love info on approximate age, history, value. Thanks for your input. tnawrot2 Report post Posted March 31, 2012 Anyone any input? From the near side, pick up the fender and flip it over, look for three set of numbers stamped on the fender/stirrup leather and post them here. The one set of four numbers with a letter at the end in the model number, another set of four number is the month and year of production, the final set of numbers is the serial number. Saddlebag Report post Posted April 5, 2012 By the style of the barrel front, the cinch ring and the rawhide cantle and stirrups, you saddle likely dates early to mid 80's to sometime in the 90's.
