Members cabaray Posted April 4, 2012 Members Report Posted April 4, 2012 Hello, new to the forum here. I found my way here because I had a vise hanging on my woodshop walls for years. I never quite knew what it was for but I admired its construction with the boxwood swivel nut and the wooden screw. It had RD Randall Co. CN stamped on one of the arms so I did a search and found my way to this forum. After poking around a bit I was able to find out its a harness vise. Does anyone know about the history of this type of vise. Is anyone here in need of such a vise? It's just been hanging on a wall for 20 years might as well go to someone who will use or appreciate it. I'd be willing to trade. Ray Quote
Members Kevin Posted April 4, 2012 Members Report Posted April 4, 2012 Wow, I have a Randall and have used several, but I've never seen one with the wood screw. I've only seen that on European stitching horses. Kevin Quote
