Making Gray Leather Dye

I am just curious but how do you make gray leather dye? My buddy wants a dark gray color on his leather( Veg Tan) and we have both been baffled on how to make a gray dye. any help would be appreciated

My guess would be to start with white and add very small amounts of black until you get what you want. I would also experiment with Royal blue.

It seems like the same recipe for vinegaroon, you just use it after one day of sitting in the jar instead of two weeks later.

I've never used it this way, let us know how it goes.
