Hello everyone,

I've just started making sheaths for my knives and would like to learn how other folks make them.

I've not had anyone mentor me but I have looked at some on-line tutorials on YouTube and

looked at some suggestions on different websites. Right now, I'm buying everything from

Tandy leather....the leather, a few different stamps, etc. I've made probably a dozen or so sheaths

but only really know how to make one style...what I've heard referred to as "friction sheaths"

where the tightness of the sheath holds the knife in. I just recently finished my 1st sheath

with a snake skin inlay and was pleased with it but when you look at it compared to sheaths

made by real leather guys there's quite a difference. I hope to learn as much as I can here

and look forward to everyone's critiques and input. Any help would be sincerely appreciated.

Thank you,

Mark

Thank you...hoping to learn a lot from you guys.

I've perused the photos and there is some

pretty awesome work here. I was just interested

in knife sheaths and maybe a couple of holsters

but it looks like I'll probably be trying a lot of

other stuff too.
