Members Darkagesleather Posted April 26, 2012 Members Report Posted April 26, 2012 Hi Guys, up till now i've only used the Eco-flo range of products which as you know are water based. I've been asked by a friend of mine to do a seat for his motorcycle. My problem is this - I feel I need to use oil based stains because its going to exposed to the elements but I need to use something to resist the stain on the tooling art work. What do I use? The artwork needs to be kept its natural colour while the rest of the seat is going to be black. Then what top coat? I've never used anything other than water based products so maybe someone could talk me through it and advise me on what to use. I've emailed Tandy but they couldn't advise me on the resisting side which I thought was a bit odd. Many thanks Kev Quote
