bruce johnson Report post Posted May 17, 2012 Jon, Really nice clean work. I really like the way the background sweeps over the basket stamping on the tooled one - cool effect.

Double U Leather Report post Posted May 17, 2012 Really nice work. I've got an inlay job coming up using hair on hide instead of stingray. Hopefully, it turns out as well as yours. Speaking of 'ray, I've heard it's a bear to sew. Any tips on working with it? Great job.
Bluesman Report post Posted May 17, 2012 (edited) Really nice work. I've got an inlay job coming up using hair on hide instead of stingray. Hopefully, it turns out as well as yours. Speaking of 'ray, I've heard it's a bear to sew. Any tips on working with it? Great job. Thanks guys. Compliments from the cream is always Great. The ray really did't present any stiching issues. I made sure to sand the beads down to the flesh. I had a freind sew my straps for me and all he said was that he could here the needle click as it went through the bead. The needel never deflected. I think that have an 8/9 oz top helps to support the needele before it gets to the ray. Edited May 17, 2012 by Bluesman
