chancey77 Report post Posted June 5, 2012 (edited) Found a Birch Kitchen Knife Holder in the Garbage...and I said to myself...YA! There is an idea for a new stamp holder. It works great because it has legs on the back and makes it at an angle so I just straight drilled holes for the assortment of tools. And there is room for my Foam Knives:) ROLFL! Tandy 97 Hole Tool Holder 54€ Old Birch from The TRASH....PRICELESS:) HAHAHAHAHA Edited June 5, 2012 by chancey77

Cyberthrasher Report post Posted June 5, 2012 WooHoo!! I realized last night that I need a new one since I'm just using a small package box that something came in with holes cut in it. I'm out of room in it and need an upgrade, but I'm too lazy to build a box shape. You got lucky with that one being a knife holder already
chancey77 Report post Posted June 5, 2012 (edited) Ya I got 41-7mm holes 3- 10mm holes and 4- 13mm holes I think:) I tried to drill out the first row in between the notches but they just got gnarled, so I skipped that...I was thinking I would be able to get at least 5x more on each row...That would have been 65 more holes! So it would have been 107 holes altogether...but oh well:) LOL I could have just gone and spent 10 bucks in Birch from the lumber yard here since next to pine is the biggest cash crop here, and you can get solid planks of Birch cheap, but I found something for free and just made it work...I was out of space and keeping a bunch of stuff in plastic tool boxes, and always digging (and worrying about messing up my old stamps), so it just seemed to be the right answer at the right time and only took me maybe an hour at home to do it. I see them in the trash and at the local recycling shop all the time for about 2 bucks...I think I'll pick up another one, or just make one that is a full block...I don't know yet. But I thought yall might get a kick out of it! BTW if you do do it...after I did it I realized I should have turned it over and drilled out the back side and just put the wood dowels that are there for legs on the other side....but that is what I get for being to gung ho and not thinking about it until it was over...hahaha... SO DRILL OUT THE BACK SIDE! I COULD HAVE gotten all 107 holes...maybe a few more:) DARN IT! LESSON LEARNED:::THE HARD WAY AGAIN!
